Beautiful color, lithographed postcard in the poster style. Advertising the Allan Line from Liverpool, London and Glasgow to Canada, United States and River Plate. Shown is the RMS Tunisian next to a Battleship. Looks as if it portrays a Naval Review. The art-work is an early example of the art of Norman Wilkinson. The unused reverse is headed 'Universal Postal Union' and allows only for the address. This dates the postcard as an early, undivided back, possible pre-1904, perhaps 1902 [Coronation Naval Review].

Size of the photo is 4.75" by 6.5". HMS Belfast, a cruiser of 11,500 tons, served from 1939 to 1963. Clean. sharp image. Unmarked, blank reverse. No identification on the photo.

Menu is in black & white. the spectacular image/design on the front seems to be engraved and has a strong impression mark. Great quality. The Megantic was the ship that brought Dr. Crippen back from Canada, after his arrest. Gross tonnage, 14,878. 570 feet in length. Launched in 1908. Scrapped in 1933.
