An account of the author's experiences in Kansas Territory in 1855-6 in the form of letters to her mother. 231pp. Original, blind-stamped cloth with gilt titles to spine. Clean copy with a sound binding. Slight foxing to endpapers. Previous owner's signature on ffep. Bookplate of historian H. Scofield on fpde. Cloth is very clean. Minor wear to one corner. Chips at foot of spine and at head of spine. Gilt titles are bright. Minor defects as stated, otherwise an attractive copy.
