' All the Illustrations in this volume have been engraved in England by Carl Hentschel Ltd., London' [Page ix]. Text block is in near Fine condition - bright, clean and unmarked. Silk paper endpapers. Top edge gilt. Boards are in black leather and show wear to the edges. Spine is in brown leather with 5 raised bands but shows a number of issues - leather missing below the fourth rib - leather covering the joints is lost but hinges reamain quite good.
