Recreates life on the keelboats and flatboats that ran the Ohio, Mississippi, and other rivers from revolutionary days until about 1820. xiv, 268pp, illustrated, chapter decoration by Harvey Cushman. Originally published in 1941, and dated thus on the title page, but this is a reprint dating to c1980. Bright, clean, unmarke interior. Tight, square binding, no wear to the cloth boards.
