Volume 1 first published in 1863 - 507pp, [4pp] publisher's ads, engraved frontis of Lincoln plus further engraved plates, portraits, maps etc. Volume 2 first published in 1863 - 629pp, [4pp] publisher's ads at rear, egraved frontis of Grant. Both interiors are very bright and clean, white pages no foxing. Bindings are tight and square. Marbled en dpapers.
